As the third best-selling dehumidifier on Amazon.com you can bet that the Frigidaire FAD704DUD Dehumidifier has some great features that really set it apart from other dehumidifiers.
Aside from the decent price (can be found for around $220) this dehumidifier will suck every ounce of moisture out of the air. It has humidity control allowing you to choose between 35%-85% and it is fairly quiet during operation.
If this is left in an unattended house then it has automatic start up features in case electricity goes out and it has the ability to operate at specific levels continuously as well as be drained continuously through a hose.

Final Analysis
Dehumidifiers are absolutely vital for people wanting to keep disgusting mildew out of their homes and prevent damage to valuables.
The Frigidaire FAD704DUD 70 Pt. Dehumidifier is a great model that will efficiently keep the moisture levels to whatever you set it at. Unfortunately there is a fatal flaw in the design but it can be easily remedied.
When you attach the hose to the unit then you will be disappointed as it has no pump and won’t adequately drain. Simply plug bucket drain holes and tilt the dehumidifier a little and it will work great! Shame they don’t tell you that in the manual though.
Overall a great dehumidifier for the price and it has a one year warranty on all parts but a five year warranty on the cooling system as described in the manual.

My Frigidaire FAD704DUD is extremely QUIET. It also collects up to 70 pints in 24 hours. It’s much better than my old LG unit and isn’t nearly as expensive. I even had a minor problem with one of the parts, called up Frigidaire, and they sent me a replacement part via 2-day Fedex free of charge.
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and would buy another one of these in a heartbeat. If I have one complaint about dehumidifiers in general, it’s that they don’t last very long. Even if they are a very high quality unit, this kind of machinery goes through a lot of use.
This unit cost me $229.00, which is more than fair considering that it works so well. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a dehumidifier that won’t break the bank. I even bought one for my son who just bought a house. The basement is very humid and this unit is more than enough to keep it dry down there. Most people would be happy and satisfied with a purchase of one of these units.
