Final Analysis
With shoes you truly get what you pay for. Don’t go cheap with leather boots because you will always end up spending more for replacements!
These Dolce Vita Women’s Donner boots are expensive however you can immediately tell that they are high quality boots when you see them. The burgundy is a little darker than depicted and the sole is without grooves so it makes it a little slippery, however overall these boots are perfect.
One major complaint with these boots is the fact that the zipper on the back rubs on the Achilles. To avoid this don’t wear ankle socks; wear a sock that goes a little higher and you won’t have any problems at all (plus it’s not like anyone can see the socks anyways!). Another great feature about these boots is you can wear them atop of jeans simply by adjusting the top strap to allow for more room! Enjoy!
I bought these boots recently and I just love wearing them! I had read some kind of negative reviews before I bought them and I have to say that I haven’t had any problems with the zipper bothering me. It doesn’t dig into my leg at all.
They fit nice and snug and I’ve found them to be quite comfortable. This is true whether I’m wearing jeans, thin socks or leggings. To me, these boots are top of the line and can be dressed up or down quite well. I recommend them to anyone that enjoys wearing nice boots with outfits.
